Who We Are
Deliverance Church Mbale is a Pentecostal, Bible-believing family of believers based at Plot 18-28 Nabuyonga Rise, Mbale. We are one of the branches of Deliverance Church Uganda and part of the Eastern Apostolic Base, which oversees DC churches across Eastern Uganda.
Love God. Love people. Make disciples.
We exist to love God, love people and make disciples who carry the message of Jesus into homes, schools, workplaces and the wider Elgon region.
Part of the Deliverance Church Uganda family
Deliverance Church Uganda is a homegrown Ugandan church. It was born in the late 1960s among a group of young believers in Eastern Uganda, took the name Deliverance Church in 1971, and has grown into a movement of hundreds of churches alongside schools, medical centres and community programmes. DC churches are also found in Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and beyond.
The church is led nationally by an Apostolic Team. As a branch, DC Mbale shares the same faith, values and leadership structure, while serving the unique needs of our city.
Our theme: Keeping Jesus' agenda
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
The very name Deliverance Church comes from this passage. It is the agenda Jesus announced for His ministry, and it remains ours: to preach good news, bring healing and see people set free.
What we believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith and life.
One God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. Salvation is by grace through faith in Him alone.
The Holy Spirit fills, empowers and gifts believers for holy living and service.
Water baptism and the Lord's Supper are commands of Christ for every believer.
The Church is God's family, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship and mission.
Jesus is coming again, and we live in the hope of His return.
